Dannebrog (Don Schufro x Brentano II) is an exciting new sire for the North American market, direct from Celle. Standing 16.2hh he is dark liver chestnut, with three white socks. Sired by the legendary dressage stallion, Don Schufro (Donnerhall x Pik Bube I) and out of the outstanding dam St.Pr. Byzantina (Brentano II x Arogno) this dark, liver chestnut stallion offers highly proven and successful bloodlines. Dannebrog completed his 300 Day Stallion Performance Test at Adelheidsdorf in 2010 with fantastic scores, finishing 3rd overall in Dressage with an impressive index of 135.74. His individual scores highlight his fantastic mind and overall high quality; Walk 9, Trot 9, Character 9, Rideability 9, Canter 8, Temperament 8, Willingness to Work 8 and Constitution 8. His test rider marks were equally exciting; Walk 8.33, Trot 9, Canter 8.33, Rideability 8.5 and Jumping Course Canter 8. This rigorous 300 Day testing highlighted his extraordinary character, his fantastic rideability and his three supple and elastic gaits. His foals bear his trademark friendly disposition and possess his high-quality movement. Dannebrog has produced two licensed sons, the ZDPF Premium Hengst Donaldson (Dannebrog x Worldly) and the Hanoverian licensed De Brunye (Dannebrog x Fabriano) son along with multiple State Premium daughters. Dannebrog brings exciting new European bloodlines to North America. The 'Dannebrog' is the name of the Danish National flag!

Dannebrog was bred by successful breeder Dorothe M. Jeppesen of DMJ Horses. He was selected and licensed by the Hanoverian Verband in Verden in 2009 as a 2.5 year old stallion and successfully completed his 300 Day Stallion Performance Test in 2010.

 

Dannebrog’s sire Don Schufro sits at the very pinnacle of breeding and sport. He was champion of his stallion performance test with a 154.93 dressage index, won an Olympic Bronze team medal in 2008 at Beijing, sits in 9th position in the Rolex WBFSH Top 10 Dressage Sire Rankings and his young daughter Weihegold placed 4th individually at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Byzantina hails from an impressive line of State Premium mares from the renowned Kassette damline; producers of Gribaldi (sire of Totilas), Karon (sire of Caprimond) and many more. In 2016 Dannebrog’s full sister Diva Dannebrog produced the Westphalian Stallion Licensing Reserve Champion, Premium Hengst Zoom by Zack. Dannebrog's Stud Fee for 2017 is $2000.00 (which includes a $400.00 booking fee and up to 2 collections of Fresh Semen) with a LFG however, Pangaea Farms is pleased to offer US and Canadian mare owners a special discounted introductory fresh semen stud fee for Dannebrog. If booked with Pangaea Farms by February 15, 2017, mare owners can secure this exciting new German breeding stallion at a 20% discount, for $1600 (including the booking fee and up to two collections of fresh semen with no additional collection fees)! His semen is available fresh cooled and frozen. It is of excellent quality and mobility with many proven offspring on the ground. Having already successfully proven himself through his 300 Day Stallion Performance Testing Results, Dannebrog is now dedicated solely to his breeding career and stands at Pangaea Farms. This enables us to better serve our clients and their mares with flexible and prompt collection times and service. He is activated with the German Hanoverian Verband, American Hanoverian Society, American Rhinelander Studbook and the German Oldenburg Verband for 2017. In NA his offspring are also eligible for registration with the KWPN (Foalbook A), Canadian Warmblood Society, Canadian Sport Horse Society and the ISR/OldNA Society.
